A Spider-Gwen-Like "Sweet Beet" Lands on the Nike Air Max 95

The Nike Air Max 95 is the gift that keeps on giving. In addition to landing in elevated, collaborative takes, the iconic silhouette has amassed a healthy roster of general releases since celebrating its 30th anniversary. Soon, that collection will include a pair that's reminiscent of Marvel's Spider-Gwen character.

Officially, the newly-surfaced Air Max is covered in a "Photon Dust/Off-Noir/Smoke Grey/Sweet Beet" color palette that blends some of autumn's typical muted aesthetic with summer's vibrancy. The AM95 opts for a predominantly dark finish across the bottom-half, although deep pink flair animates visible Airbags and accents on the outsole.

Suede panels along the profiles, mesh nets around the tongue, laces, and lace loops all deviate in an off white tone. "airmax" branding on the tongue further indulges in the eye-catching "Sweet Beet" hue, which comes together with the white-and-black ensemble to evoke images of the Ghost-Spider costume.

Although NIKE, Inc. previously collaborated with Marvel to celebrate the animated Spider-Verse series of films, the tri-colored Air Max 95 isn't an official project between both entities. Furthermore, the sneaker is reminiscent of Gwen Stacy's superhero character, but is missing a hit of light blue to really make the connection one-to-one.

In the past, adidas released official Spider-Gwen/Ghost-Spider footwear—including a Kid's D.O.N. Issue #4.
