First released back in 1996, the Nike Air Adjust Force — like the neighboring Air Modify Force — is a basketball silhouette that featured interchangeable straps and ran with an epic run of team colors to fit out every hooper through the final years of the 20th century. With its absence from the market for over two decades, it’s built somewhat of a unicorn status within the sneaker community. It’s yet another of those off-kilter Nike silhouettes that has a sizable demand, yet still, there’s no retro. That will change soon, though, and we have Yoon from AMBUSH to thank.

Teased during Yoon’s recent trip to the Nike HQ was the AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust Force in a straight-up mix of black nubuck and white. While the former makes over most of the silhouette, white then brings attention to the various branding, specifically the “AMBUSH” hit along the heel and the check embedded into the side. It’s not all classical, though, with forward-thinking grind rubbers are built into the outsole. Funnily enough, the titular adjustment strap was missing from Yoon’s pair, but surely the retail release will have it included.

Yoon has given us a first fully-fledged look at the AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust Force — complete with pink and purple gradient inserts for the overlay. A release date was not identified, but it is expected to be announced soon.
