Fresh off the heels of her debut collaboration on the Nike Dunk High — and before we get to her sophomore “Lethal Pink” pair — AMBUSH founder Yoon Ahn has taken to the gram to flex a fresh new colorway of her design, this time taking inspiration from another classic hoop shoe from 1985 — the Air Jordan 1. Flexed in only two on-foot shots, this AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High “Chicago” mimics the OG Air Jordan’s blocking one-for-one, with white leather uppers, red leather overlays, and her signature accentuated Swoosh in just black. Midsoles arrive with an age-look finish, while outsoles complete the design in Chicago Bulls red.
Though Yoon did suggest in her Instagram post the pair is “NFS” — not for sale — it would definitely be a welcome release amongst sneakerheads. We’ve taken to Photoshop to whip-up a render to give you a better approximation of the pair (with black laces) which you can check out below, as well as the on-foot shots shared by Yoon herself. Should any further developments on its potential release arise, we’ll be sure to keep you updated right here on our official Twitter account.
Update // Word has just broken on an AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High “Deep Royal” for release in Spring/Summer 2021. You can check out the details for that drop here.
