After months of teasing, the Bluetile Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low Pro is now officially confirmed, with details surrounding its concept and release now revealed.

The pair draws inspiration from the Monarch butterfly and the journey it takes in search of home. According to Bluetile, the Monarch serves as a symbol of resilience, particularly for Mexican immigrants who have built lives far from where they started. The project also highlights their own community, including team rider Irving, who immigrated from Veracruz, Mexico. Like the Monarch, the message centers on movement, adaptation, and the impact individuals bring to the communities around them.

Design cues follow that direction closely. The shoe incorporates wing-inspired elements, fuzzy laces referencing pollinators, and hexagonal Swoosh details. Color choices nod to both the Monarch butterfly and the sunset tones seen across South Carolina skies—where Bluetile has been based for the past 25 years.

The Bluetile Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low Pro will release in-store on May 2 in Columbia, SC, followed by May 3 in Charleston, SC, both on a first come, first served basis with doors opening at 11 AM. An online release will take place May 4 at 10 AM via bluetilesc.com. Retail is set at $135 in men’s sizing from 4 to 15.
