Cav Empt Goes Digital with Its Nike Air Max Dn8 Collaboration
SK8THING and Toby Feltwell's Cav Empt might not be Nike's most relevant collaborator at the moment, but the decade-old Japanese label has quietly been lending its creative touch to the Air Max Dn8.
Savvy sneaker enthusiasts will know that Cav Empt is no stranger to the Swoosh. In 2019, the low-profile imprint reworked the Nike Air Max 95 in two makeovers that widely flew under the radar. The duo was accompanied by an apparel capsule. Cav Empt previewed three pairs of the Dynamic Air-cushioned Air Max offering as part of its Fall/Winter 2025 lookbook, signaling a return to the ranks of the Swoosh's collaborators.
Akin to 2019's project, the Air Max Dn8 trio indulges in an all-over digital camouflage pattern across the upper. A white-and-green color scheme steals the show with its vibrant presentation, while more tonal, muted black and grey finishes deliver versatile style for less flashy dressers. The pixel-heavy pattern falls in line with other camo-covered editions of the Nike Dn silhouette, which inherently flirts with the future while honoring the past. It's possible co-branded apparel and accessories will accompanying the sneakers, but that's yet to be determined.
Stay tuned for firm Nike.com release details and official photos of the Air Max Dn8 by Cav Empt. Items from the Asian label's FW25 collection will begin releasing online on Thursday, July 31.
