Devin Booker is once again turning to his personal car collection for inspiration, with the Nike Book 2 “Pretty Penny” drawing directly from his 1959 Chevrolet Impala convertible.

The pair leads a new four-sneaker project between Nike, Chevrolet and Booker, following last year’s Book 1 collection inspired by his classic Chevy Blazers. This time around, the focus shifts to Booker’s vintage Impalas, with four Book 2 colorways representing cars from 1958, 1959, 1962 and 1963.

“Pretty Penny” takes its name and color palette from Booker’s 1959 Impala—the car that helped spark his love for collecting classics. The Book 2 mirrors the vehicle’s bronze-brown finish across the upper, while subtle automotive details carry the theme further.

Among those touches is a tongue design inspired by the Impala’s hood ornament, along with “’59” detailing referencing the model year of Booker’s car. The pair is also packaged in a custom box inspired by vintage Chevrolet Accessories packaging, complete with retro teal-and-orange graphics.

Booker’s connection to the project runs deeper than the vehicle itself. The Michigan native has long been vocal about his love of classic Chevrolet models and keeps his collection in a garage he calls “The Library.”

Fittingly, the Book 2 “Pretty Penny” will receive its first release in Detroit during the Woodward Dream Cruise. Fans will be able to reserve pairs through SNKRS Pass on August 14, with pickup taking place at Burn Rubber in Royal Oak on August 15.

A wider global release is scheduled for August 26, 2026. The remaining three Impala-inspired Book 2 colorways are expected to follow in December.

The collection also includes a “Heartbeat of America” T-shirt, referencing Chevrolet’s classic advertising campaign from the 1980s and ’90s.
