What Could Concepts & Nike Running Be Up To?

Another day, another Concepts project teased via Instagram by Deon Point.

For his latest cryptic social media carousel, the longtime creative director has shared an image of a black van outfitted with Nike Running and Concepts logos. The side of the car reads "Road Killers" and features footprints atop orange, blue, and green stripes. As with other pre-rollouts, other images included in the Instagram post could help confirm what exactly Concepts is up to.

The series of pictures is accompanied by the caption "Leave em done, won’t even run." It's possible Point is referencing Nas' song "Represent" from 1994. The third slide in the aforementioned carousel showcases the Nike Air Max 95 "Olympic" from 2004, a pair that's expected to receive a Big Bubble retro in 2026. The commemorative pair famously features the colors of the Olympics' rings across the profiles, a detail that could've inspired the stripes found on the initial black van.

Akin to Patta and its Huarache Pegasus Plus collaboration from 2024, it's likely Point and the rest of the Concepts squad have reimagined some performance aspect or silhouette from the Nike Running family. Currently, the Pegasus Premium and Vomero Plus are amongst the brand's most popular road runners. A co-sign from the Massachusetts institution could see non-athletic sneaker enthusiasts run for the first time since high school Physical Education classes.

If a performance-first edition of any Nike Running franchise releases, it wouldn't be Concepts' first foray into the field. Although the boutique and creative agency is known for concept-driven lifestyle offerings, it injected the Nike Free Trainer 1.0 with a cool aesthetic in 2016.

The co-branded van could also be one of two things: 1. Part of a rollout in which privy affiliates hand out pairs of a Concepts x Nike Running capsule or 2. Part of a launch for a Nike Running-powered Concepts Running Team.

Stay tuned for more details from Point and company. While you wait, check out all upcoming Jordan releases.
