A Denim and Gum SB Dunk has just appeared, and it’s making waves through social media — and not for the reasons you think.
First images of the pair flooded Twitter and Instagram, with one tweet catching the attention of the official Nike SB account. Nike SB’s intern did not hold back, flaming The Supreme Saint for its lack of info, calling them out on the biggest of stages. And Twitter went into a frenzy.
Wrong name. No release info. Caption might as well be “Here’s a leaked photo we found on Instagram.” https://t.co/HGaqlX6MLX

Of course, now further information of the pair has landed, with it joining part of a wider Nike SB “Sashiko” pack that draws inspiration from the ancient Japanese decorative embroidery that served as a necessity during widespread poverty in the Edo era. Translating to “little stabs”, the process is mimicked through the use of rich navy fabrics and contrast white-stitched Swooshes. Even the toe box perforations channel a traditional cross-stitch oft-seen during the period.
