Over the last year, Devin Booker and his Swoosh family have had a successful run with their Nike Book 1. In that timeframe, the duo have reimagined the modern basketball sneaker in handfuls of styles inspired by the brand's extensive archive. Come March, the sneaker is set to launch in an ACG Mowabb-inspired colorway.
Unveiled on-court earlier this month, the sneaker features a medley of retro hues–including 'Sesame/Black/Bright Mandarin/Smoke Grey/Dusty Cactus'. Although the pair's desert-reminiscent color scheme is appropriate of Phoenix, Ariz., the Suns guard's latest Book 1 references the sneaker-'boot' Nike ACG released in 1991. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the old school model delivered a basketball-informed setup in a package for the great outdoors. The sneaker ultimately become a staple within street-style, with its 'Sesame/Bright Mandarin/Dusty Cactus' trio pairing well with technical gear from yesteryear.
Booker's impending drop faithfully recreates the Mowabb's color palette on his future classic, with Cushlon 2.0 midsoles indulging in a speckled 'Smoke Grey' makeover.
