The Velvet-Covered Dover Street Market x Nike Dunk Lows Drop February 5th

The versatility of the Nike Dunk’s design has enabled the silhouette to thrive in the collaborative space. Though it is simple in design, the Dunk lends itself to endless color and material blocking options for any given collaborator to run free. The recently-revealed Nike SB Dunk Low “What The P-Rod” is a perfect example of this, as is pretty much any Nike Dunk collab from over the years. But when Dover Street Market gets their turn at the plate, it’s often done in the simplest of styling. Their efforts on the Air Max 1 back in 2018, and their Air Jordan 1 and Dunk Highs from 2015 show just how basic the brand gets. In comparison, this new DSM x Nike Dunk Low is daring, despite again assuming a monochrome make-up.

Arriving in all-white — including the sole unit, laces, liners, and branding — the pair does not let up in hue save the interior branding hits. Uppers appear to arrive in all-out velour from toe to tail, while tongues opt for traditional nylon. Added forefoot mini Swooshes arrive in an equally-glistening finish, and the pair is completed atop an all-white sole unit, and DSM-branded insoles. Further release information previously revealed by SHOF tells us that a black/black and black/white colorway is also part of this capsule, so we can predict an all-black look created similar to this pair, and a black/white that could possibly achieve that classic college-style blocking.

Currently, a release date for the Dover Street Market Dunks isn’t known, but you should expect to learn more on the three colorways over the coming months.

Originally scheduled to release this past Summer, Dover Street Market has finally confirmed tha a release of their DSM x Nike Dunk Low Velvet releases in “Triple White” and “Triple Black” will take place on February 5. Online raffles are now open via DSM NY and DSM London, both closings at 11 am EST/GMT.
