Ed Sheeran is the latest artist to take over FC Barcelona's Home Jersey in collaboration with Spotify.
The occasion marks the seventh time a musical act has fronted the popular Spanish football club's shirt, and the first for a solo male pop artist. Visuals for Sheeran's eighth studio album, Play, appear on the jersey colored in an iconic blaugrana look.
Other artists invited by Spotify to lend their likeness to Barça's shirt include Travis Scott, Rosalía, Coldplay, and the Rolling Stones.

In addition to the special edition Home Jersey, the latest Spotify Artist Takeover offers a t-shirt, hooded sweater, supporter's scarf, and a retro jersey inspired by the 2004/05 season—the era during which the 34-year-old began recording music. All items feature either Ed Sheeran's name or references to Play.
Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Jules Koundé, Marcus Rashford, and the rest of Barça will wear the Home shirt on Sunday, Oct. 26, for El Clásico, their matchup against domestic rivals Real Madrid. FC Barcelona Femení debuts the shirt against Granada on Sunday, Oct. 19.
"Seeing my new album Play on the [Barça] shirt is something I'm proud of," said Sheeran. "I'm a big fan of football and FC Barcelona, and I love that we get to merge the worlds of music and football in such a fun way."
For the first time, Spotify's Artist shirt will be available in eFootball. Beginning on Oct. 23, players worldwide will be able to select and play in the jersey in-game.
Only 1,899 limited edition jerseys will be available to purchase, nodding to the Spanish club's founding year. The Ed Sheeran x FC Barcelona jersey and merch collection by Spotify will be available for purchase via Barça Official Stores in Spain and online beginning Wednesday, Oct. 15.
