FC Barcelona Unveils New Jersey Honoring Ronaldinho's 2005 "El Clásico" Performance

The saying goes "Never say never," but truly, what are the odds there will ever be another Ronaldinho?

Nowadays, the Brazilian superstar spends a large chunk of his time spreading the good gospel of Nike Football, bridging the gap between past, present, and future. The Swoosh continues to honor him through special product launches and campaigns, both coming together for FC Barcelona's Fourth Kit for the 2025-26 campaign

On Nov. 19, 2005, Ronaldinho put on a masterclass against rivals Real Madrid in front of a sold out crowd at the Santiago Bernabéu. This installment of the longstanding El Clásico saw Barça's number 10 score all three goals against "Los Blancos," a feat remembered on the new shirt's collar: 14', 58', 78'.

Tension on-the-pitch was almost palpable; in the stands, things weren't too different. Yet, that didn't stop those in attendance supporting Sergio Ramos, David Beckham, Robinho, Ronaldo Nazário, and Zinedine Zidane from recognizing the magic being displayed by Barcelona's player. After his third goal, a sizable amount of fans stood up to clap for Ronaldinho, marking something that simply doesn't happen.

Naturally, Barça's Fourth Kit takes on the club's classic Blaugrana color scheme. Angular vertical lines run the length of the shirt, likely nodding to the Brazilian's quick movements on the pitch 20 years ago. The club's crest is found on the left side of the chest, while swoosh and Spotify logos claim their respective spots in vibrant yellow.

Enjoy campaign imagery of the Ronaldinho-inspired shirt ahead. The next time El Clásico takes place is May 10, 2026. In the meantime, Barça could wear the jersey for the UEFA Champions League.

The collection is available now on Nike.com.
