It’s been a long time between drinks for Nike SBand San Francisco’s FTC, with the skate shop’s 2013 20th Anniversary SB Dunk Low collaboration their last encounter. But it appears their connection was strengthened in recent times, with the retailer given the exclusive rights to the orange Grateful Dead Dunks last year. With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that the two parties would reprise their collaborative connection shortly thereafter. Those speculations have now been put to rest with the surfacing of this new bright white and blue FTC x Nike SB Dunk Low.

The pair flips traditional blocking with white leather overlays — here textured in a pressed grid— while suede uppers and mesh tongues arrive in a sky blue-green hue. Chenille liners and rear overlays of vibrant yellow add a summery vibe, while metallic silver Swooshes add some charm. Though it’s hard to tell from these leaked images, there does appear to be a special detail embroidered on the tongue, while FTC can clearly be seen in the rear.

Update 07.01.21 Official images of the FTC x Nike SB Dunk Low have arrived, alongside details of its inspiration; With Japan as the host country of this summer’s Olympic Games — the first Olympiad to feature Skateboarding as an official event — the San Francisco-based skate shop will honor the occurrence by harnessing the aesthetic of traditional Japanese bathhouses. This is evident in the pair’s overlay panels that feature a brick-like pattern combined with suede underlays that represent crystal waters. A release date for the pair has not yet been set, but with the Olympics nearing, you should expect to see a release soon.

Update 07.01.21 The Swoosh has set a release date for the FTC x Nike SB Dunk Low for July 21st, with pairs arriving right here on Nke.com from 10 am ET for $110.
