Gundam x Nike SB Dunks Now Drop November 10th

It appears that Nike SB will be delivering yet another internet-breaking collaboration in 2021, this time linking with Japan’s mega mech-robot franchise Gundam for two epic editions of the Nike Dunk High.

Nike SB looks to both the 02 Banshee and the RX-0 Unicorn from the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn novel for inspiration, likely in celebration of the series’ 15th anniversary which takes place in late September. The 02 Banshee makes use of a metallic black and blue-grey base, complete with detailing done in a blaze of orange. Throughout the sneaker’s upper you’ll find various details referencing the 02 Banshee suit, including mecha-like details at the toebox and collar to give the sneaker a space-age aesthetic. The focal point of the sneaker is the oversized, redesigned, and removable side Swooshes in both gold and orange, referencing the Gundam’s V-Fin antennas. Its sibling unit, the RX-0 Unicorn, arrives in much the same styling, though it swaps out the deep dark hues for bright whites, reds, and golden yellows — again in reference to its inspiring mobile suit.

While there are currently no official details for the Gundam x Nike SB Dunk High collaboration, pairs are reportedly expecting an arrival over the next few months. As mentioned above, the 15th anniversary of the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn series goes down on September 26th, so expect it to be in and around that date.
