The Nike Air Max 97 “Hangul Day” Drops December 6
Though Nike’s celebration of M. Frank Rudy’s revolutionary cushioning invention is taking over more than a handful of Air Max models, this next release is actively trying to hide it, as the Air Max 97 “No Bubble” (AKA Hangul Day) stows away the visible unit in favor of an all-rubber encasement.
With the midsole now firmly wrapped in sail EVA foam, translucent are applied to the outsole to complete a role reversal. The upper sees some significant change, too, as it boasts a black leather and suede construct complete with bone nylon tongues and medial overlays, and standard 3M reflective overlays. LAces have been swapped for a toggle system, complete with a chrome piece, while midfoot panels have been replaced by a translucent TPU panel that has been marked with a special product code.
