Four decades is a long time to remain the center of attention, but the Air Force 1 has never shied away from the spotlight; in fact, one would say that the silhouette is lapping it up this year, with its 40th-anniversary celebrations discussed on a daily basis. Most of that sprouts from the continual run of celebratory releases, but there are still more than enough in-line colorways keeping the momentum rolling forward — like this new colorway in black, royal, and volt.
Pictured here for the first time in kids sizing (an adult option is expected, too,) the pair shows a classic build of smooth leathers, though that’s about as heritage as it gets, as the pair implements a slew of striking, contrasting colors. Here, black uppers, nylon tongues, and liners are joined by overlays of royal blue and Swooshes of volt. All three colors converse on the tongue tags, with volt returning to the dubrae and midsole detail and blue to the outsole underfoot. A striking white midsole then rounds out the design.
While an official release date for this new Nike Air Force 1 Low has yet to be revealed, the surfacing of product imagery would suggest that a release is on the way.
