Kids of Immigrants might not be the biggest brand in sneakers, but it's quickly become one of the most exciting. The independent label took over countless Best of lists late last year with a Nike Air Max Sunder duo. And while these pairs continue to be celebrated, they could be joined by a third 'Concrete Sky' style before 2025 ends.
As with so many sneaker-related headlines this week, the next Kids of Immigrants x Nike project was teased during Paris Fashion Week. Awake NY's Hugo Mendoza shared a picture of the third colorway to his Instagram Stories. Sole Retriever then acquired a clearer set of images, showcasing Daniel Buezo and Weleh Dennis' work in all its glory. An official launch hasn't been confirmed by either co-founder, but it's likely conversations are being had behind-the-scenes given how coveted their 'Persian Violet' and 'Sundial' Sunders have become.
Design language on the 'Concrete Sky' offering falls in line with its predecessors. The color palette, however, skews more muted than the two inaugural Kids of Immigrant Nikes. The calling card-inspired upper opts for an 'Olive Grey/Diffused Blue' makeover that allows for 'Sundial/Vivid Grape' accents to revel in the spotlight. Underfoot, the retro tooling keeps things simple in a predominantly-'Black' finish, further allowing the pair's top-half to tell Buezo and Dennis' next story.
If the 'Concrete Sky' Air Max Sunder releases, it should hit the Nike SNKRS app sometime before September with a price tag of $190.
