Creative Director for Dior Men (formerly Louis Vuitton) and long-time Nike collaborator Kim Jones will be reigniting his partnership with the Swoosh across two new iterations of the Air Max 95. Leaked earlier this year, information on the Kim Jones x Nike Air Max 95 Collection had limited depth. Having only acquired the proposed colors of Black/Total Orange and Black/Volt, much was left up to the imagination until first looks arrived. Now you won’t have to speculate much longer, with both initial and official imagery appearing by-way-of @J23app earlier today.

Though we only have visuals of the Total Orange-clad pair, it’s easy to see that Jones has revived a premium athleisure aesthetic seen on his 2018 “Football Reimagined” collection with Nike — though much more mainstream. With bold pops of color highlighted translucent overlays, the pair commands attention. The aforementioned overlay exposed the extended length of the orange eyelets, while striking pops fill the no-longer-translucent Air windows underfoot. Cascading overlays arrive in finely-treated grey suede, each panel coming complete with full-length morse code-like prints. Toe caps and lowermost overlays arrive in textured white nylon with Mini Swoosh and Kim Jones branding respectively, and the pair is complete with a full-length translucent rubber outsole.

While the two Kim Jones x Nike Air Max 95 colorways are slated to arrive sometime in 2021, the surfacing of official images today may indicate either a very early release next year and/or an impending shock drop over the coming weeks. A first look at the UK-exclusive Kim Jones x Nike Air Max 95 in Volt has arrived, and as expected, it’s merely a color change of the orange accents seen on the officially-previewed pair. A release date is not yet known, so stay tuned to our official Twitter account for further updates
