Late last year, Kith’s Ronnie Fieg blew up sneaker Instagram by teasing his first Air Force 1 collaboration — which, of course, only made its way to a handful of very close family and friends. But through the current COVID crisis, Ronnie and his team have given up five pairs to raffle off for COVD-19 relief — and it all goes down tomorrow. Here’s word straight from Fieg’s mouth:
“In 2019 I worked with Nike to create Kith’s first-ever Air Force 1. This was nothing short of a dream come true for the brand and me. Together we created a limited run of 100 pairs that were gifted to friends-and-family exclusively. There was never an intention to make these pairs available to the public.
With the outbreak of COVID-19 I began thinking of a way we can use our platform to inspire positive change and help those who need it most. That is the purpose of this drawing.
Five members of our team gave up their pairs for this cause. Tickets will be sold to enter the drawing for each pair to raise money to donate 100% of the proceeds to DirectRelief’s COVID-19 Response Fund. Join us in doing what we can to make the world a safe place again.”
The raffle opens tomorrow, May 14th, and is open until 6:00 pm EST on Sunday 17th.
