Travis Scott has emerged as the current leading figure in the sneaker world. He's neither a designer nor a member of fashion's upper echelon, but he certainly knows how to generate buzz in the industry. Although the scope and number of products associated with his name don't rival those of Michael Jordan, LeBron James, or his mentor Kanye West, Scott has introduced some of the most coveted and elusive sneakers since 2017.
Scott's initial foray into the sneaker scene began with Reebok during his mixtape come-up. While this partnership never produced co-branded releases, it laid the groundwork for his future collaborations with Helmut Lang, Nike, and Jordan Brand.
La Flame's impressive streak was interrupted in late 2021 due to the fallout from the November 2021 Astroworld tragedy, leaving Nike in a bind with unreleased Air Max 1 and Air Trainer 1 designs. However, as time passed, Travis regained momentum through a successful Air Jordan 1 collaboration, with more projects expected in the future.
