The Nike Basketball Family is expected to continue honoring the legacy of Kobe Bryant in 2027. Come fall, a Kobe 8 "Mine Grey" Protro is expected to join the brand's expansive list of performance retros for the late NBA legend.
The news arrives by way of Sneaker Files and X user @zSneakerHeadz, the duo that's also disclosed a plethora of Jordan release dates for the next calendar year.
Originally launched in November 2013, the "Mine Grey" Kobe 8 also features "Black," "Court Purple," and "University Red" tones across its low-profile build. Due to injury, Bryant never laced up the pair during the 2013-14 NBA season, but the sneaker's pit viper-inspired upper still made an impression on avid hoopers and casual collectors at the time.
The Protro version should land to Nike.com by mid-November 2027.
