Kobe Bryant #8 "Leave A Legacy" Jersey Expected August 24

Nike is honoring Kobe Bryant’s legacy this summer with the release of the “Leave a Legacy” jersey collection, arriving just in time for Mamba Day. This edition celebrates his early career with the Los Angeles Lakers, sporting his iconic number 8.

Dressed in the franchise’s signature gold with purple-and-white accents, the jersey features “Lakers” wordmark and number 8 on the front, with “Bryant” and the same number on the back. A special detail comes in the form of a small #17 embroidered on the back collar — a nod to the Lakers’ 17 championships — along with the “Leave a Legacy” callout above the jock tag. Nike’s modern Dri-FIT ADV fabrication ensures a lightweight, breathable feel while staying true to the authentic on-court look.

The Kobe Nike “Leave a Legacy” Lakers jersey will release on August 24, 2025, for $200 via Nike.com. It will launch alongside the #24 “Leave a Legacy” Kobe jersey, completing the tribute to both of his legendary eras in purple and gold.
