If you've followed LeBron James off-the-court, you might remember that he dressed up as Pennywise from It for Halloween 2017. Nine years later, the spine-chilling clown is the inspiration behind LBJ's Nike LeBron 24 "Storm Drain" basketball shoe.
Part of a multi-pair collection by Nike Basketball for Halloween 2026, the latest pair to surface for "King James" has been widely lauded by a healthy mix of sneaker-enthusiasts.
The pair features a weathered grey look across the KingKnit upper—an aesthetic that faithfully represents the gutters and drains from which Pennywise operates. The patterned construction is complemented by ruby red Swooshes that further nod to the inter dimensional entity—specifically his leering eyes. Crown branding on the top-of-the-tongue indulges in the same shimmering finish, while the laces favor a textured, hairy-like build that could draw from Pennywise's hair.
One other standout element that connects the LeBron 24 "Storm Drain" to Pennywise is the embroidered patch on the tongue's underside. An eye logo sits in the center of a diamond shape, doubling down on the spookiness behind the colorway's inspiration.
Stay tuned for more details on the Halloween-ready LeBron 24. Pairs should release via Nike.com, Foot Locker, and other popular retailers by Oct. 30.
