Nike will celebrate the 20th anniversary of a historic WNBA first, with an impending Nike Dunk Low “Lisa Leslie” honoring the first woman to dunk in a WNBA game.

According to Brendan Dunne of Complex, the release is expected to arrive mid-year, to coincide with the 20th anniversary of Leslie’s historic dunk, though given the footwear brand’s recent troubles with logistics, the date may well shift.

Leslie, who played for the Los Angeles Sparks for the duration of her WNBA career, recorded the first dunk in the league’s history on July 30, 2002. In the same season, she became the first WNBA player to reach 3,000 career points, and her team won its second consecutive championship.

Color-wise, you should expect to see Los Angeles Sparks colors of purple and gold dress its upper, with a discernible teal Swoosh and a piercing white midsole. The latter is tacked on with contrast purple stitching to match the outsole. It also has Leslie’s number 9 on the heel as a direct nod to the WNBA superstar. Naturally, the pair is expected to be women’s-exclusive.
