Spain's Nico Williams Reworks the Nike Air Max Plus

Spain's Nico Williams might currently be injured, but he continues to be a fan-favorite footballer. Recently, the Athletic Bilbao star was invited to participate in the Nike By You customization platform, with which he reworked the Air Max Plus.

Unveiled via social media, the Nike Air Max Plus by Nico Williams sees a predominantly red-and-black color scheme across its decades-old design. The two-tone style draws inspiration from Athletic Bilbao's team colors. "NW80" and "0428" messaging throughout the sneaker nods to Williams' childhood home number and footballing debut, respectively. The special-edition Air Max Plus, then, is a celebration of his roots and his dream coming true.

"It’s an iconic shoe, and this design fits perfectly with the way I dress," said Williams about his By You collaboration.
