Long-time Nike collaborator Matthew M. Williams took us all by the eyeballs during his 2020 NYFW showing when he debuted the audacious Nike Zoom MMW 4. The overly aggressive, Zoom-loaded, springboard sneaker was way out there — even by Matthew’s standards. It finally hit shelves late last year, selling out in mere moments. We didn’t have to wait long until some follow-up colorways came around, with both the “Rust Factor” and Triple Black” variants arriving back in May. Though it’s been a while since, Matthew has revealed its newest iteration, this one in smokey brown and black hues.
Anchored atop a murdered-out spring/Zoom Air sole unit, the pair boast a majority brown hue, with dark and light shades flickering in brightness across the mesh upper. Glaze-on overlays are mostly translucent-brown, with toe caps and heel clips sporting a milky-clear finish. Midfoot supports opt for a shiny black, with color-matched hues hitting the laces, tongues, and Swoosh branding to complete the design.
