    Brought back to retail in 2020 for the very first time, Michael Jordan’s first on-court Nike sneaker, the Nike Air Ship, has had a welcome return to market thanks to brand-exclusive activations from A Ma Maniere and regional-exclusive releases. Now it appears that the model with getting its first official collaboration, as Jordan Brand BMX athlete Nigel Sylvester reveals.

    Teased on Instagram by the man himself is a first look at the Nigel Sylvester x Nike Air Ship “Bike Air” — the athlete’s first collaboration since his legendary Air Jordan 1 from 2018.

    The photo shared by Sylvester shows a white and cool blue color scheme, with the text “BIKE AIR” replacing the usual “NIKE AIR” on the spine of the shoe. The panels at the Achilles’ Heel and profile swooshes are constructed from suede, while the inner lining features a navy finish.

    Sneaker fans have been eagerly anticipating Sylvester’s next sneaker project with Nike, Inc. — especially after being spotted wearing a black version of his Air Jordan 1 late last year. Naturally, fans went wild with speculation about his next project. As it turns out, the black Air Jordan 1 was a one-of-one gift for Sylvester, but the “BIKE AIR” collaboration has sparked hopes of another Air Jordan from the Queens native in the near future.

    Despite the hype, Sylvester has remained tight-lipped about the project, giving fans only a tantalizing glimpse of what’s to come.
