Nike ACG Puts Runner vs Buggy in Snow Race

Nike ACG’s recent revival has brought a wave of creative storytelling and outdoor-driven experiences back to the brand. From the memorable ACG Milan train activation to new global campaigns, the All Conditions Gear line continues to lean into bold ideas that highlight exploration and performance in unexpected ways.

The latest example came from Montana, where Nike ACG posed a simple question: who wins in an outdoor race — man or machine?

At the FAT Ice Race, Nike ACG athlete Liam Heath Meirow took on a Meyers Manx LFG buggy in a snowy head-to-head challenge. Meirow laced up a modified Nike ACG Ultrafly designed for rugged terrain, while the buggy brought raw off-road speed to the icy course.

The race consisted of one lap with a twist — both competitors had to stop midway to grab hot cocoa before heading back to the finish.

While the buggy had the advantage in straight-line speed, the icy terrain and endurance element kept things close. In the end, the machine had the pace, but Liam had the edge.

The stunt taps into ACG’s long-standing philosophy: technology may help us explore further, but the human spirit still drives adventure.
