Nike's Olympian-Approved Inflatable Jacket Is Unlike Anything Else
First unveiled in October 2025 ahead of the Winter Olympics, the Nike Therma-FIT Air Milano Jacket is finally set to release to the public on today, April 23, via SNKRS US.
The jacket originally appeared as part of Team USA’s medal ceremony kit, worn by athletes like Alysa Liu. The version releasing today keeps the same core construction, but differs visually—most notably the exclusion of "Team USA" branding. The patriotic crest is replaced by a standard Nike ACG logo that denotes the design's All Conditions Gear heritage.
At its core, the Milano Jacket is built around A.I.R. (Adapt. Inflate. Regulate.) Technology, allowing wearers to adjust warmth in real time by inflating or deflating the jacket’s internal chambers. In practice, the difference is clear: more air adds insulation and structure, while releasing air makes the jacket a lighter, more breathable outerwear piece.
The system is powered by a small, battery-operated pump that attaches to a valve on the exterior of the jacket and controls airflow throughout it. It marks a functional shift from traditional outerwear, offering a single piece that adapts rather than relying on layering.

Visually, the non-Team USA version leans more minimal. Classic "acg" branding appears on the left chest, donning a reflective coating. The jacket's sculpted, quilted pattern appears when inflated, leaving behind "dimples" when not puffed up.
Originally designed for use by Olympians, the Nike Therma-FIT Air Milano Jacket now transitions into a wider release with a slightly refined look, bringing one of the brand’s more experimental apparel concepts to consumers of all types.
The Nike ACG outerwear design releases today, April 23, via SNKRS at 10 a.m. EDT. Enjoy a closer look at Air Milano Jacket ahead and shop more Nike ACG here on SNKRS.
