With the NBA season hung in suspension over the past few months, eyes of the avid fans have shifted to competitive gaming to get their hoop fix. It’s been a good thing for NBA 2K, who has been running their season, which is coming to a head this month via the NBA 2K20 MyPLAYER Nation Finals. The increased exposure has also been great for Nike, who have been dropping gamer-exclusive sneaker release throughout the entire season, including collaborations with Gatorade to alternate Kobe 5 Protro “Chaos” pairs, and an All-Star Adapt BB decked out in Chicago colors. Now, to celebrate the pinnacle of the virtual Finals, Nike and 2K revisit the Adapt BB 2.0 with a special-edition “Winner Circle” exclusive.
Designed for winners, this hoop-ready release serves a nod to the NBA’s Larry O’ Brien Trophy, as its upper construction, heel and midsole molds, and hefty tongue pulls all arrive adorning a Championship-inspired golden yellow. Complementary white touches find their way to the vamp’s Swoosh branding, and sole units, with the latter capped off in icy-translucent rubber accents to complete the design.
Grab an official look at the “Winner’s Circle” Nike Adapt BB 2.0 here below, and if you are part of the final two team communities left in the MyPLAYER Nation tournament, you are automatically granted access to purchasing a pair for $350 — so check your SNKRS app!
