In the realm of sneaker legends, few stories are as captivating as those surrounding the choices made by Michael Jordan on the NBA court. While his allegiance to Jumpman was unwavering for the most part, there were some fleeting moments when he opted for non-Jumpman sneakers, each one etching an indelible mark in sneaker history.

One such occasion took center stage in 1988 against the Knicks, when Jordan chose to lace up in the Nike Air Alpha Force 88. That moment became the stuff of legends, not only influencing the Don C-designed Legacy 312 but also firmly placing the Nike Air Alpha Force 88 in the sneaker hall of fame. Though it made fleeting appearances over the years, the sneaker remained largely dormant. Fast forward to 2023, and the narrative takes a fresh twist. Nike is resurrecting the iconic silhouette, but this time, with a contemporary spin: the "Game Royal" colorway.

An audacious nod to the OG "Chicago" palette, the "Game Royal" iteration takes inspiration but dares to be different. Swapping the signature leather Swoosh overlays and nylon collars, the new model boasts a plush, tactile, fleecy finish, elevating the sneaker's aesthetics to modern tastes.

While the silhouette remains steeped in the vibrant tones of the OG — the meticulously crafted tumbled and perforated white leathers, the unmistakable black forefoot lockdown strap — the "Game Royal" strikes a blue chord. The blue hue pays homage to the legendary sneaker's roots while infusing it with a renewed vibrancy.

The iconic "FORCE" logo on the tongues, reminiscent of the original, stands out in striking contrast, while the amalgamation of white, black, blue, and grey on the sole unit adds the finishing touch, making this rendition as memorable as the classic.
