The Nike Air Flight '89 Low Appears with "Picante Red" Flair

Nike Sportswear continues to reach into the archives to bring new life to some of its most iconic designs. The Air Flight '89 Low, an oft-overlooked part of its basketball history, is poised for an impressive retro run throughout 2025.

Already seen in a Tar Heels-friendly "University Blue," the silhouette's latest ensemble sees a "Pure Platinum/White/Anthracite/Picante Red" medley of tones across the Air Jordan 4-like build. The impending release indulges in a predominantly two-tone execution, which places an off-white hue across the bulk of the upper and sole unit. The orange-reminiscent "Picante Red," then, animates inner lining, profile swooshes, and elements of the vintage tooling solution underfoot. Together, each aforementioned component helps bring a nostalgic aesthetic to the modern-age.
