Available Now // Nike Air Flight 89 “Court Purple”

Retro hoop shoe fans have been spoilt for choice when it comes to the Nike Air Flight ’89. Since returning to market earlier this year, we’ve seen a slew of new and OG colorways alike drip-fed into the market at a comfortable pace. Early on we were subject to simple, clean blocking, but as of late the late-80’s sneaker has seen some interesting themes; An intergalactic “Planet of Hoops”, a Rucker Park-inspired release, and a Windy City makeover for All-Star Weekend have given fans a collection of kitsch, but now as we move into Summer we’re beginning to see some classicly-blocked colorways return. Next up is this two-tone Nike Air Flight 89 “Court Purple”, which pairs the title color against a stark white base. The bulk is executed in smooth white leather that covered most of the upper, save the mesh collar, and is neighbored by accents of rich purple that lands on every accentuated piece. Peer a little closer at the pair, though, and you’ll notice the subtle inclusion of croc-textured leathers at the panel nearest the ankle and at the forefoot overlay. Underfoot you’ll find a white midsole sandwiched between purples, and the pair is capped off with Court Purple-colored Air supports.
