With the 1992 Olympic Games allowing professional representation for the first time on the basketball court, Nike pulled out all the stops to ensure their athletes would be standing atop the first place podium in the best designs the brand could offer. The Summer of 1992 saw an incredible run of releases including the Air Jordan 7, the Air Ballistic Force, and the Air Force 180 — and Air Max 180 from the year prior. Of course, there were more, like the Nike Air Flight Lite II worn by the likes of Chris Mullen and Scottie Pippen during the Games, which were overshadowed by the former. Almost 30 years from its release, the silhouette has enjoyed a mini resurgence, getting a deserving time in the spotlight with a handful of releases both new and old — including this Nike Air Flight Lite II “Scottie Pippen”

Staying true to its heritage, the sneaker shows up in smooth white leather that’s been punctured with perforations from the toe to the collar. it’s then struck with striking red nylon tongues, Swooshes, and split-color outsoles, with the silhouette’s signature graphic liners also divided between red and white hues. Pip’s logomark sits on the insoles, whilst Nike Air branding in the back completes the design.
