Nike’s Plastic Shopping Bag Theme Appears on the Foamposite One

It appears that the plastic bag Air Force 1 won’t be the only bodega-inspired Nike release, with a gradeschool Foamposite One sporting the same shopping bag aesthetic appearing today — Yes, those ultra-thin plastic bags that carry your Slim Jims and Coors Light.

Here, a classic white shell and leather construction mimics the base white bag and is accompanied by a slew of red accents that channel various commonly-used prints. Medial heels depict oversized floral and cascading “Thank You” prints, the latter adjusted to an on-brand “Just Do It”. Roses appear again on the forward face of the front pulls, whilst the JDI graphic returns across the midfoot shank. Rear pulls show a print-inspired smiley face motif, whilst other accents like the forefoot Swoosh, One Cent logos and tongue stripe all arrive in matching red.
