Nike Air Foamposite One "Cough Drop" Returns Aug. 15

The cult-loved Nike Air Foamposite One "Cough Drop" will return in 2025, according to sources close to House of Heat° and Elden.

Initially released in 2010 during the peak of Foamposite popularity, the minimal Black/Varsity Red rendering of the Nike Air Foamposite One got its name from the jelly sole unit that mimicked the winter-staple strepsil.

Now, 15 years on from it's debut, Nike will reissue the release to the masses — though it's not yet confirmed if there will be any major or minor tweaks to the design.

Just like the years before it, 2025 will see an onslaught of Foamposite releases; but this year will be different, with Nike priming select retro releases of the model, including the "Cactus," these "Cough Drops," and the legendary "Galaxy" colorways.

You can reacquaint yourself with the original 2010 release below alongside the 2025 version which has been unveiled via SNKRS Showcase on July 8, 2025. The pair is scheduled to return on Friday, Aug. 15.
