Drawing inspiration from the cosmos, the Nike Air Foamposite One "Galaxy" emerged in 2012 as a sneaker and a phenomenon.

Released under the umbrella of Nike Basketball’s All-Star “Galaxy Pack,” this particular Foamposite became the star child of the All-Star Weekend release, overshadowing its pack siblings with its brilliance. The chaos it incited upon its launch was unparalleled: tales of enthusiasts trading vehicles for a chance to own these celestial kicks and reports of brawls at shopping centers became part of sneaker folklore. The "Galaxy" did not just become an iconic shoe but became a symbol of sneaker culture's intensity.

Years have rolled on, and whispers of the Galaxy's grand return began circulating. It was a tempting prospect for those who missed the initial release or sought to relive that moment.

The Swoosh has confirmed that the Air Foamposite One "Galaxy" will return a week after NBA All-Star Weekend, on Feb. 21. The retro will be priced at $230. Ahead of the style's global launch, the Swoosh will grant a limited number of SNKRS Members the opportunity to cop a pair via Exclusive Access Draw on February 7th at 10 AM PST.

A select number of folks that've entered at least three Foamposite launches since March 2023 will receive an invite to the early draw. Invitations to those selected will be sent out through the SNKRS app on Friday, Feb. 7. Please note that selection does not guarantee availability in your preferred size.

Official product photography of the "Galaxy" Foams is now available ahead, followed by an early look courtesy of @solechaserz. Comparison photos of the original 2012 drop can also be found below as you wait to try your luck via the Nike SNKRS app.
