Although Nike Basketball continues to dominate professional leagues across the globe with its modern designs, the hoops-obsessed division continue to revisit some of its most beloved creations from the past. Case in point?: The Air Foamposite Pro is expected to return in a "Triple Black" look during the Summer 2026 season.

The report, shared across social media by Romania's Sneaker Market, follows a recent resurgence of the Nike Foamposite line. A mix of special editions and standard reissues has been well-received by the public, despite changing trends and a high MSRP. Savvy enthusiasts of Eric Avar's creation, however, have long pleaded that the Swoosh retros the slightly different Pro-variant. The original "Pearl" Foamposite Pro is set to lead the charge.

The last time a "Triple Black" edition of the beetle-inspired design launched was 2004. Similar makeups have landed on the more common Air Foamposite One, but the impending launch marks another archival proposal from the Oregon-based institution. The bulbous swoosh logo on the lateral profile blends in with its pitch-dark surroundings, while logos on the spine, quarter panel, and pull tabs interrupt the tonal finish. It's possible the retail version expected to land in the first-half of 2026 differs from '04's drop, but that's yet to be seen.

Stay tuned for firm Nike.com release details and official photos of the "Triple Black" Foams. (The lead photo for this story is of the '04 pair by way of StockX.)
