Nike Celebrates Philadelphia With the Air Force 1 ’01 “Philly”

Nike is giving Philadelphia its own take on the Air Force 1 ’01, releasing a new “Philly” colorway timed around the 76ers’ first home game of the season.

The pair leans into the 76er's familiar palette, combining white, blue, and red across a premium leather upper. The design also introduces a Philadelphia Attack logo, while embroidered area-code references add another local touch.

Additional nods to the city appear at the heel, where the classic “Phila” script is worked into the back tab. Together, the details give the Air Force 1 a clear Philadelphia identity without moving too far away from the model’s traditional look.

Nike’s inspiration also pulls from the city beyond basketball. The brand references Philadelphia’s cobblestone streets and long-standing neighborhood character as part of the story behind the release.

The Nike Air Force 1 ’01 “Philly” releases October 22 via Lapstone & Hammer and through SNKRS at 5:30 p.m. ET today.
