Be it “Toasty” or utilitarian retoolings, the Air Force 1 has found itself at the forefoot of Fall footwear. The year-rounder often sees overhauls for the tail end of the year to accommodate the treacherous weather, with Nike nodding brands like GORE-TEX to add their patented materials for the benefit of sneakerheads. Now the Swoosh looks to CORDURA for their water-resistant textiles, for this Nike Air Force 1 CORDURA “Cargo Khaki” — the first of many expected colorways to come.

Arriving in all-out olive, the pair’s contrast comes from both layering and material. The CORDURA in question comes across the toe box, mid-panel, and tongues, with the company’s signature tag spotted just below the dual-layered lateral Swoosh. The latter, along with the heel overlay arrive in a hardened and textured textile, while traditional overlays opt for a matte leather finish. Sole units, liners, and top laces arrive tonal, too, while branding at the tongue and tail are inked in black to complete the design.
