Nike is doing the most with the Air Force 1 for its 40th anniversary, from collaborations with Drake and Louis Vuitton to toothbrush-wielding Anniversary releases. The silhouette’s mainline release schedule is delivering quality, too, like this upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low “Double Negative” that tacks on two midfoot Checks that overlay in photo-negative fashion.
The simply-designed pair presents itself in heavily tumbled white leathers, with special mesh tongues, and heel/tongue overlays in an interesting pearlized-blue finish. It’s the titular double-Swoosh that sparks the most intrigue, though, given its bold black-and-white design, and atypical placements. It’s joined by a solitary tonal Swoosh embroidered on the lateral ankle, with a no-frills white sole unit, and special set of graphic insoles completing the design.
While an official release date for this all-new Nike Air Force 1 “Double Negative” has yet to be revealed, the surfacing of Nike.com imagery would suggest that a release is coming soon. Until more news arrives, take a look at the pair in detail here below, and be sure to keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
