Flyknit is nothing new for the Air Force 1, with the hot-and-cold finish floating between popularity and the outlets for some time now. Crater Foam soles, though relatively new, have also become a staple inclusion in the AF1 repertoire, gracing releases too-many-to-count in recent months. The two finished have combined on more than one occasion, but this new scheme brings its most unique finish yet.
Anchored solely in black and white, the pair thrives off contrast and pattern. Its effectiveness is achieved through scale-like weaves at the toe and heel and marled — almost school book-like pattering — at the forefoot and collar. The remainder of the woven upper is done in more minimal finishes, with half-cut Checks, leather eyestays, and black laces/liners keeps things calm. The pair is then completed by a simple Crater Foam sole unit underfoot.
A release date did not accompany the imagery below, but you should expect to hear some news on its release in the coming weeks. Until then, check out the image gallery of the pair here below, and be sure to give us a follow on Twitter for further updates.
