With Spring now well underway, and in conjunction with the silhouette’s 40th anniversary, you can expect to see a barrage of Air Force 1s for the sunny season ahead. Expect to see everything from the OG High to the preferred low-cut, to a handful of women’s-exclusive releases, including this new Nike Air Force 1 Fontanka “University Blue”

Not deviating too far from its minimal origins, the color blocking remains fairly reserved in comparison to the wild redesign, with one-color leather uppers working with tonal suedes. Here, it’s smooth Uni Blue leathers that anchor the pair, at the forefoot, before working to tumbled finishes in the rear. Suede Swooshes sit at the midfoot in a color-match blue hue, with sole units following suit. The React midsole plaque pops in a striking pure white, before signature three-Swoosh tongues of red, royal, and green complete the design.

An official Nike.com release for the Nike Air Force 1 Fontanka “University Blue” is yet to be revealed, but it’s likely that, given the colorway, the pair will arrive in time for Spring.
