Bruce Kilgore’s Air Force 1 never seems to run out of things to wear. The silhouette has been at the center of reinvention for decades, with each and every new release offering up something a little different from the last. It’s also been prevalent is Nike Sportswear collections which share an overarching theme, including the recently-revealed “Moving Company” colorways. Now it appears to be part of another, with this new Nike Air Force 1 Low “Athletic Company” appearing today by-way-of official Nike.comimagery.
Prepared atop an off-white and deep green sole unit, the pair ushers in those exact two hues for the bulk of its tumbled leather upper. Here, though, Nike has removed the quarter panel in favor of tonal stitchwork, gearing the toe, eyestay, heel, and Swoosh overlays in forest green. The latter works in tandem with a bright yellow underlay, with similar tones shown on the aged-look laces and exposed foam nylon tongue. Further retro elements are included at the heel of Nike Air motifs and classic tongue branding, whilst new graphic insoles show the first of what is expected to be a lengthy collection of similarly-themed releases.
