Despite the mixed feelings associated with patent leather in footwear, the high-gloss textile continues to show up on some of the Swoosh’s most revered silhouettes. The next is this Nike Air Force 1 Low “Blue Patent,” which, as the title suggests, boasts a slew of shiny blue finishes.
Anchored by a heavily-tumbled Summit White Leather upper and tonal leather tongue, the pair clings to a few other color-matched accents at the laces, enamel dubraes, and midsoles. From there, it’s an onslaught of patents, with overlays and of mid-range pigments joined by baby blue Swooshed and tongue tags. Rubber outsoles align to the latter, with a splash of charcoal at the midsole and tongue brand marks rounding out the design.
Its next is nothing too spectacular, but boy is it clean. The simple inclusion of OG-inspired greys to the overlay set, dubraes, and branding to an all-white base livens up the release without going overboard.
