Showing up in all kinds of ways for its 40th-anniversary celebration, Bruce Kilgore’s Air Force 1has seen everything from the simple to the downright audacious. This new-to-surface release sits somewhere in the middle of that spectrum, with its unassuming color scheme and simple material makeup met with an over-the-top embossed mid-panel reminiscent of KITH’s legendary Air Force 1 collaborations.
Here, the pattern does not read a repeating “KITH,” instead opting for a retro-inspired Nike Hoops motif in solid white. The toe boxes and liners mirror in white, before a sea of bone overlays are laid atop in smooth leather. Athletic mesh tongues and laces arrive in tonal grey hues, leaving a light, bright monochromatic base that enables a bold green Swoosh to pop in contrast. All of this rests atop a simple white and barely-green sole unit to complete the design.
Though the official images of this new Air Force 1 Low have landed, a release date has not been identified — but you should expect to see these released later this year.
