Official Looks // Nike Air Force 1 Low “Chinese New Year” for 2020

It’s about that time of year that we start to preview upcoming celebratory sneakers for Chinese New Year — and first to surface for next year’s collection of commemorative kicks is the evergreen Air Force 1 Low. This year’s effort, whilst still bold in its detail, takes on much more of a minimalistic approach than recent times, arriving in its classic trip-white with a few added embellishments. Uppers arrive embossed (a similar finish to last year’s Doernbecher Air Force 1 Low) with classical Chinese patterns and designs infused with callouts to Nike, including Pinwheel logos, shoeboxes and more. A similarly-designed insole and liner combo arrive in vibrant watercolors; a pattern that also graces the special-edition packaging. The pair is then capped off with subtle finishes like smooth leather Swoosh overlays, tonal tongue branding, and translucent dubraes.
