Nike is bringing together two completely random things that were synonymous with my childhood: the Air Force 1 and Label Makers, the latter gracing all of my mom’s spice jars, my dad’s VHS tapes, and my sister’s radio-recorded mixtapes. Now it graces my mid-90s love, the Air Force 1 for one strange and quirky release.
Though not an apparent wear-away like its like-themed Nike Blazer, this Label Maker Air Force 1 Low does bring its own unique finishings to the table, including the removal of the pair’s quarter panels, the addition of excess stitching at the midfoot, and my favorite — retro-style leather edging. Further vintage flair arrives at the off-white midsole and eroded rear branding and of course, the colorway that pays tribute to the OG Air Force 1 High from 1982.
As always, keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates. Until then, enjoy a detailed look at the pair here below, and expect these to land on Nike.com and at select retailers in the coming weeks.
In other retro-inspired news from Nike, the ACG Terra has moved on from the SB Dunk Low to the Air Max 97.
