Just Dropped // Air Force 1 Low “Goddess of Victory”
After having revealed a marble statue Air Force 1 Low Shadow inspired by Nike the Goddess, the Swoosh has now taken the thematic to new heights — quite literally. The Air Force 1 Low “Goddess of Victory” continues the Grecian themes with another carved-out creation, adding in Nike’s signature wings, palm branch, and Greek-style writing to convey the matter.
Anchored in an all-white leather base, the pair presents a chiseled-like shell overlay at the toe and quarter. Swooshes and eyestays arrive in a smooth, unbeveled finish — but all of that initially goes unnoted thanks to the pair’s extravagant wing-bearing tongues. The angelic finish sits atop a silver mesh tongue, and reaches well above the extended height in a semi-translucent finish. More obvious callouts arrive at the rear embroidery, with Greek-style NIKE AIR lettering and her symbol of victory — a palm branch — resting at the heel in metallic silver. Finally, special graphic insoles depict an ancient statue figure and a literal definition of the Nike name to complete the design.
