"Silver" Jewel Swooshes Shine on This Women's Nike Air Force 1

The Nike Air Force 1 is having a prolonged moment. Despite comments from NIKE, Inc. CEO Elliott Hill that the company would be decreasing its releases of the "presidential" sneaker, the model has emerged in dozens of new styles over the last nine months, with more on the way.

Most recently, a Women's-exclusive pair surfaced in a "Black/Wolf Grey/Metallic Silver" color scheme. While not a new kind of ensemble for Bruce Kilgore's design from 1983, the color trio lands on the Air Force 1 Jewel, an oft-divisive version of the AF-1, launched in 1997.

The Nike Sportswear offering sees the bulk of its build don a stealthy, pitch-dark finish that allows for the slightest contrast to pop. The three-dimensional Jewel Swooshes on the profiles shimmer in a metallic done, just as the Swoosh-shaped lace dubraes that join the project. A matte shade of "Metallic Silver" lands on the tongue tag and insole, while the "Nike Air" on the Achilles' heel panel indulges in the same shiny update as the raised Swooshes on the sidewalls.
